1. Affiliates are paid 25% commission on first-hand sales of City Guide, Topo Guide, and Travel Guide ads.
Affiliates are paid 25% of all map listing advertisement purchases in the City Guide, Topo Guide, and Travel Guide on YellowMaps.com, when they refer the customer to this website with their Affiliate ID.
A cookie on the customer's computer identifies the Affiliates with their ID for 30 days. Payment to Affiliates is made by cheque in the mail, sent on the first of every month in which the Affiliate has accumulated at least US$ 100. If Affiliates choose to stop the Affiliate agreement, they will be sent a final cheque even if they accumulated less than US$ 100.
2. Affiliates are also paid 5% commission on second-hand sales of City Guide, Topo Guide, and Travel Guide ads.
Affiliates are also paid 5% of all map listing advertisement purchases in the City Guide, Topo Guide, and Travel Guide that originate from other affiliates that have been referred to YellowMaps.com by the Affiliate, according to the above point 1. In other words, if Affiliates sign up other people as YellowMaps affiliates, they will get paid an extra 20% of whatever money those other people are making as a YellowMaps affiliate (or 5% of the total map listing purchase price).
A cookie on the customer's computer identifies the Affiliates with their ID for 30 days. If the customer signs up to be an affiliate within that period, the referring Affiliates are identified with their Affiliate ID, forever. This means that, Affiliates can earn money (5%) without doing any work themselves, even in years to come.
